Our Motto: We Serve
A voluntary community service organization

The Lions Club is a steadfast supporter of the Dripping Springs Community Library. It contributes funding every year for acquisitions, staff and current expenses, and has done so for many years.

It also contributed $1,500 earmarked specifically for the new building construction project (along with many other benefactors and with institutional matching grants). In 1998 the library's attractive, bright new facility was completed and opened.

Today the Community Library is serving the citizens of Dripping Springs and the DSISD. Modern in every way, it is part of the Texas Library System, providing state-wide inter-library loans to its borrowers, in addition to material from its own extensive adult and childrens' collections. Computer workstations provide library patrons with free internet access as well as an automated "card" catalog. Evening programs include historic, educational and cultural topics presented in delightfully interesting style.

Friends of the Dripping Springs Community Library, Inc. invites volunteers in five membership categories, with dues from $2 to $50 per year. Join at the circulation desk or contact President Nancy Fierstien at 858-2024.

Contributions provided by the Lions Club to its many community projects are generated solely via the Club's fund-raising projects, which are manned by its energetic, dedicated volunteer members. Many thanks to the people of Dripping Springs for their generous support.
