A voluntary community service organization

The Lions Club selects worthwhile community activities to support. For example, the new McGruff costume which it bought for the Hays County Sherriff's Department. It is used to vitalize school programs, teaching our children to avoid drug addiction.

The Lions Mobile Health Screening Unit provides free preventive health protection to local residents.

Many of the Lions Club support actions take the form of contributions to other organizations. These include:

  • Boy's State (a legislative learning experience)
  • Caring for Children Program
  • Dripping Springs Helping Hands, Inc.
  • DS Youth Sports Association
  • DS Vocational AG Boosters
  • Girl's State (a legislative learning experience)
  • Hays Caldwell Battered Women's Center
  • Hays Caldwell Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse
  • Project Graduation
  • Red Cross

    • The Lions also actively promote civic-minded activities in the community.

    Contributions provided by the Lions Club to its many community projects are generated solely via the Club's fund-raising projects, which are manned by its energetic, dedicated volunteer members. Many thanks to the people of Dripping Springs for their generous support.
