1) Do you have lyrics for any Stevie Ray Vaughan songs? How about sound files?

When I first created this site, I made a decision not to offer either of these things. They are copyrighted, and while I might be able to post them under "fair use," copyright law online is a murky issue and I wanted to error on the side of caution to prevent any liability. In addition, I did not want to risk any copyright infringment out of respect for Stevie Ray's family.

2) I'm interested in a particular SRV recording. Do you know where I can find it?

No, I don't, but someone on the Texas Flood Mailing List might.

3) I've got a SRV-related Website. Can we exchange links?

Send me the URL. I'm happy to look at your site. Whether I'll link to you depends. If your site is purely commercial, probably not. Otherwise, chances are I'll be happy to do so.

4) I've got a question about Stevie Ray Vaughan. Do you know the answer?

I might, but you're more likely to find it in the Stevie Ray Vaughan FAQ.

5) Why don't you update this site more often?

I know, I know: I'm a loser. Well, Pride and Joy is a labor of love, but my job is a labor of necessity and it's hard to find bandwidth to work on this site sometimes. I'm trying to do better, however. I hope to release a couple of updates a month.

6) Why does your site look so bad on my Web browser?

If your Web browser doesn't support HTML tables, it'll certainly look bad.

Otherwise, it's hard to say. Please email a detailed description of the problem along with what platform and Web browser you are using. I have tried to design this site with as much leeway for specific browser idiosyncracies, but I don't have access to every browser on the planet for testing.

And, if a particular page looks bad, but the rest look fine, there is probably a type on the HTML. Please let me know what page(s) have the problem.

7) If I make a submission to The SRV Experience, will it be seen by any of Stevie's relatives?

That is hard to say. It is my understanding the Martha Vaughan (Stevie's mother) has been show this site, but I have no idea if she visits regularly. I rather doubt it (but it's a nice thought).

To my knowledge, Jimmie has never visited this site, but it wouldn't suprise me.

But feel free to address your submission to Martha, Jimmie or even Stevie himself. You never know...

8) Do you have any Stevie Ray Vaughan tabs?

Nope. I haven't played guitar since junior high school. And I wasn't very good then.

However, the Stevie Ray Vaughan FAQ has some info about tabs here and here.

9) There's a car commercial that has what sounds like SRV as its music. What song is it?

It is "Voodoo Chile" by Stevie Ray Vaughan (originally by Jimi Hendrix).
