The Stevie Ray Vaughan Experience
Gosh.. how to begin.. sigh. Well I've recently about 1 year ago came into the SRV Experience FULLY. What I mean is the man and his playing have affected me in a serious way. I feel his presence so fully on his CD's. It's like some spiritual connection is goin' on. I'm sure others feel the same way. Ever since I fell in love with this legend, I've been mourning his passing and celebrating his music and the soul that brought such magic to the world. I keep thinkin' I'm a nutcase for feeling like I have such a connection to him, but I guess I'll just have to be a nutcase! I'm a performer as well. I do funk/soul and also blues. I'm a natural born blues singer and if Stevie Ray was alive, I'd hunt him down and get up there and do a duet with him. I find it amazing that on the night of his death he gave such an out of this world performance. His best ever from all accounts as if something else was up on the stage with him playing through him. I think the spirits were giving us his last encore. I'm so thankful he was able to be on stage with all of those great players and be taken over by his talents so completely for his last show. He continues to give me concerts in my car and on my home stero and I only wish I could say "Hey Stevie... man you are loved... you are still indeed loved and missed more than you could ever imagine." Christina
