The Stevie Ray Vaughan Experience
I am a rather new-comer to Stevie Ray Vaughan. I've been in a resurrection process of my lost old loves in music, which were dead to me for a number of years. In my resurrection process, I followed the path of my heart which was finally illumined to my true loves since childhood; Rockin Blues, Soul, and deep southern Blues. Of course my paths lead me to Stevie Ray Vaughan, who I had never experienced in my young years. Now at the age of 46 I finally have the understanding and the maturity to really appreciate SRV. Anyway, in SRV are all the elements of my deep loves. Not only the elements of all the music I love, but the personality elements as well. Learning who he was has been the addition of a great human being in my life. The more I know him, the more I cry that he's gone. The more I hear his music, the more I want to learn every single detail. No other musician has interested as much. Today I read one of the SRV Experience emails from Susan Menassa and felt a kindred spirit. Would like to say to her, "If you like Texas Flood, you will definitely like the new 2000 release "Blues at Sunrise"; an awesome collection of SRV's slow blues. Sonja Saastad
