The Stevie Ray Vaughan Experience
Ray Sanchez
September 10, 2001

it was a cold winters night, new years 85-86. my sister, her husband and i , were able to enjoy him in san antone,tx. i'll never forget it. he was wearing an indians chiefs head dress and played the guitar like i hadn't seen since frank marino. my sister even named her daughter after him. i thought later, [i hope nothing happens to him that has happened to all of the greatest...] i enjoyed his music from then on. i joined the army, and was stationed in alaska when i heard the news. i shed a tear and thought ,why does this have to happen to all of the greatest. i thought that all of his music was great, even when he was going through his troubles. i have never been able to tell so many people at once how he affected my life. thank you for the opportunity.
