Stevie Ray Vaughan? What do those few words mean to me?Passion?Power?Skill?Flair? Well,all of the above really.

I never got to see him play in the flesh,being the 'rock guy' that I was at the time,but I had first heard of him with the 'Superstition' video that was played a fair bit at nighttime in the uk.

Years later I developed an interest in the guy,being a guitar player myself,and was quite shocked at the real depth of his skill.It's hard to play like him and even harder to sound like SRV.Nobody,but nobody has yet got the sound.I equate him with Eddie Van Halen,another unique personality with his own style and sound.SRV was like that too.

When I think of SRV I think of how he carried himself in the world.Here's a guy whose proud of his achievements and whose proud of the people in his life.This came through in the music.His determination to become who he wanted to be was quite inspiring.

Watching the "El Morcombro" video spurs me on to keep playing my music.For that I will be eternally grateful....
