The Stevie Ray Vaughan Experience
Wow...My brother in law got me into Stevie early in his career..I was flattened by the sound like many..There have been so many people pick up a guitar and play it well, but the first time you heard Stevie play it was obvious the this was new gift of sound and direction...I remember not long after "Tightrope came out I woke up from a fog and by luck caught Stevie on "Good Morning America". The interviewer was discussing his decision to be sober etc...and asked him if he thought it would affect his art...He said something like.."Well, I used to think I was a pretty good guitar player...but now that I am sober...I'll tear your face off!.....This is not made up and hope someone can confirm this or amend my memory because it made the hair stand up on my back...and yes Stevie you tore my face off...
