The Stevie Ray Vaughan Experience

I just want to thank you for the web site. I feel a bond with Stevie Ray maybe because we shared the same birthday. I can honestly say that the day we lost him was one of the saddest days of my life. For those of us that truly love the blues, we can remember where we were when we heard the news. Much the same as those who were old enough can remember where they were when Kennedy was shot. For me I was at work in a Lumber Mill in S.D. I always listened to the radio through a rigged-up set of headphones in my ear-muffs. I had to sit down when they made the announcement. I couldn't believe that we had lost the greatest blues man I had ever heard. Unfortunately I never did get the chance to see him in concert. It was always going to be ...... next year.

Just a word of advice to anyone reading this, if you have an artist that you really enjoy, make sure you make the sacrifice of whatever it takes to see them before it's too late. Don't take tomorrow for granted. I did and I will always regret not seeing the "Little Boy Blues."
