The Stevie Ray Vaughan Experience
Hi there... again. Most of you are probably getting sick of me, coming and telling my stories, even though I've never met, nor seen SRV live. I dream of Stevie Ray Vaughan all the time, and there was one time in particular I dreamt that I'd met Stevie backstage at one of his gigs. I remember sitting there and talking to him and it was very strange because I'd always wanted to meet him and so when I saw him in my dream, it wasn't .. ya know... a star struck moment, because to me he was just a person, who became my idol.Stevie Ray Vaughan has always touched my heart and even that devilish smile he had, gave me the chills. He reminds me of my very close friend... C.F.. of course.. none of you have ever met C.F. but I'm sure that someday you will know who he is. SRV has been a big part of my life.... I can honestly say.. that I never really began listening to him until... well September, but.. I've become his biggest fan eversince. I know a lot of people say that, but .. well here's the thing. Aretha Franklin has always been my major idol, then Buddy holly, Janis Joplin, Ozzy Ozborne, Led Zepplin, ya know... Louis Armstrong, Alannah Myles, Bonnie Raitt, and so forth.... but Stevie.. he really has made me believe that there is music out there, that ... is for real, and not just some notes.... I know I sound crazy but, there's no way to describe SRV's music and be accurate, I mean, I can compare him to no one, and that's what made him special. S.K.
