The Stevie Ray Vaughan Experience

Hello. I have been listening to Stevie Ray Vaughn for almost my entire life.

I am also a guitarist and have deeply wanted to express my love for his music in a song. I have heard numerous dedications to Stevie. I have heard many stories of how hard it was for the artists that have written and performed them. For instance, Buddy Guy was on stage doing a song for Stevie. This was not very long after his death. This was during a live performance when Buddy Guy sang these lyrics:

We miss you, Stevie.
Yes, the pain just grows and grows
And the way I feel tonight,
Oooh well, I guess you'll never know.

As he sang, he choked on the words. He was sobbing during this song. As he sang the words, his sobbing became louder. He turned his back to the audience to keep the tears back. He tried to collect himself and play his guitar. The guitar wouldn't sound. He looked at the amp. It was on, volume up-but wouldn't say a thing for him. The soundmen checked the amp for any problems. The crowd began to feel uneasy, as if a presence had entered the room. Then Buddy got it. It was Stevie pulling the plug on him. It had to be. Stevie didn't want anybody crying for him and had found a way to distract the sorrow. Buddy got the message. He signaled the band to cut the song. The second he did his guitar came back on. He fired into an uptempo shuffle.

Stevie Ray Vaughn didn't believe that when you die you leave forever. He believed that no matter what happens his spirit would always remain with the ones that he loved and the ones that loved him. If there are any things that you would like to talk to me about, please let me know. If anyone out there would like to give me suggestions and help to anyway that I could write a song in rememberance to Stevie Ray Vaughn, please e-mail me back at zjkunk@aol.com. Please e-mail me if there are any other stories that you would like to share. Thanks
