Here is a sweet tale by a high school friend, Sonya Schali. This is how puns happen.

Early this morning Dillon, my sleepy three year old grandson came out of the bedroom carrying his blanket. I was sitting on the sofa reading the morning newspaper. Dillon crawled up snuggling very close to me. He pulled his blanket over his head covering his whole body. Willy, my Shi Su dog quickly climbed on top of Dillon, making himself very comfortable. Dillon let out a yell, "Grandma! I can't get up!"

I replied, "Doggone you, Dillon."
