Utilizing significant new technology developed by Human Code, professional-quality CD-ROM titles can be developed and produced in as little as two week, from the simplest interactive brochures to sophisticated training tools
In addition to providing complete development and production of CD-ROM titles, the Human Code's CDfactory team can also install the system directly within companies and provide training. The company claims that advertising agencies and corporate communications departments can start producing quality Macintosh and Windows titles within a single month. CDfactory can also benefit multimedia developers looking for a cost-effective, scalable system for developing low cost titles.
Three CDfactory titles have been completed. The Discovery Channel hired the CDfactory team to create a promotional overview and self-running demo of the Discovery CD-ROM product line. GSD&M commissioned a multimedia sales brochure. Bob LeVitus, a bestselling computer book author and a contributing editor for MacUser magazine, is using CDfactory to create a full line of consumer-oriented computer training titles for his new company, IT Publishing. He commented, "With CDfactory's quick development cycles and ease of use and training, it was the only solution that made sense to us."
All CDfactory CD-ROM projects are organized in a hierarchy of chapters and paragraphs -- much like a printed book. There can be up to 18 chapters in a single title and each chapter can contain up to 25 paragraphs. With a unique custom CD-ROM title priced well below the cost of traditional multimedia production, CDfactory's features and benefits include:
