Austin, Texas -- November 6, 1995 -- Austin Web Publishing, Inc. announced today that noted high-tech writer Gene Crick has become a Contributing Editor for Austin Axis. Crick, best known as Austin/San Antonio Editor for "Texas Computing" and Editor/Publisher for "Tech Connect," will write a monthly column about Austin's high-tech issues.

Crick's monthly column will focus on news and developments in Austin's high-tech community. As president of the Metropolitan Austin Information Network (MAIN) and publisher of the "Texas Telecommuncation Journal," Crick is uniquely positioned to provide insight into little-known aspects of Austin's Silicon Hills.
For his debut column, Crick has examined the marraige between the City of Austin and Microsoft Corporation to set up an official city presence on the propreitary Microsoft Network.
